We
had a good entry in the Dog Show. The Best in Show went to Brian Grace
from Nenagh with his Irish Setter. Second Best in Show was John Canty of
Limerick with his Irish Terrier. Third Best in Show was Georgina O'Shea
of Askeaton with her Rothweiler and fourth Best in Show was Miss Springett
of Surrey, England with her Lhasa Apso who was over for the circuit of Shows.
The Best Puppy in Show was a
Boxer owned by Mary Barrett of Rathkeale.
Best Gundog was Brian Grace's Irish Setter. Best Elkhound went to Joe
Blaskett of Limerick and the Garyhil Trophy for Best Boxer went to Mr Bonner
of England. Best Toy Dog went to Anita Fogarty of Shannon with her Cavalier.
In the "Dog I Would Like to Take Home" class, Jean Scanlon, Mary
Manton of Gecas and young Sam Ivory chose a dog each "to take home".
The Agility had its usual great audience with young handlers excelling and Frank
Keohane of the Carass Agility Club put on his usual great show,Next year we
hope to have a Fly-Ball Competition as well.
